Halloween & Religion
Whilst Halloween has Christian traditions related to All Saints' Day, the attitude towards Halloween varies widely amongst Christians. Many in the Anglican Church for example recognise and celebrate All Saints' Day, whereas some protestants celebrate the event as Reformation Day. A great many Christians place little religious importance on Halloween, choosing to acknowledge the occasion as simply a secular event. Some Christians however are opposed to modern day Halloween celebrations over concerns that the event celebrates paganism and other practices which they consider inappropriate in relation to their Christian beliefs.
